Why i'm Waiting:

I had to share this! This has been in my head everyday since it's cover reveal and i've got to say i love it!

Someday Dancer by Sarah Rubin
Pages: 256
Publisher: Scholastic Inc
Pub date:  August 1st 2012

Synopsis:

A ballerina tale with a thoroughly modern twist!

Casey Quinn has got more grace in her pinkie toe than all those prissy ballet-school girls put together, even if you'd never guess it from the looks of her too-long legs and dirty high-top sneakers. It's 1959, and freckle-faced Casey lives in the red-dust countryside of South Carolina. She's a farm girl: Her family can't afford ballet lessons. But Casey's dream is to dance in New York City. And if anyone tries to stand in her way, she's going to pirouette and jeté right over them!

Casey's got the grit, and Casey's got the grace: Is that enough to make it in Manhattan someday? Or might the Big Apple have something even better in mind? When she meets a visionary choreographer she calls "Miss Martha," Casey's ballerina dream takes a thoroughly, thrillingly modern twist! *From goodreads.

Why I'm waiting:

The only ballet story i've read is Bunheads, which i loved so i had to read this. Furthermore, we don't get much of ballet.

Prophecy (Prohecy #1) by Ellen Oh
Pages: 320
Publisher: HarperTeen
Pub date: January 2nd 2013

The greatest warrior in all of the Seven Kingdoms... is a girl with yellow eyes.

Kira’s the only female in the king’s army, and the prince’s bodyguard. She’s a demon slayer and an outcast, hated by nearly everyone in her home city of Hansong. And, she’s their only hope...

Murdered kings and discovered traitors point to a demon invasion, sending Kira on the run with the young prince. He may be the savior predicted in the Dragon King Prophecy, but the missing treasure of myth may be the true key. With only the guidance of the cryptic prophecy, Kira must battle demon soldiers, evil shaman, and the Demon Lord himself to find what was once lost and raise a prince into a king.

Intrigue and mystery, ancient lore and action-packed fantasy come together in this heart-stopping first book in a trilogy. *From Goodreads.

  1. I'm waiting on Pivot Point! It sounds amazing and I love the Sliding Doors concept. The what if something was different how would your life change if you had made a different choice.
