Review: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1)
by Maggie Stiefvater
Pages: 434
Publisher: Shcolastic

Summary:

The wolves are calling.

Everything you know will change.
When a local boy is killed by wolves, Grace's small town becomes a place of fear and suspicion. But Grace can't help being fascinated by the pack, and by one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. There's something about him - something almost human. Then she meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away...

Thoughts before the read:
Everyone says that this is a must read, so here it goes.

Thoughts after the read:
Right. Where's the next book?!

Review:

Grace waits for her wolf everyday. Ever since the day she was bitten by a wolf she still remembers her wolf with the yellow eye. Then, one day, Grace meets her wolf. He's been shot by a gun and when he turns into a boy she doesn't know what to think.

Reading shiver was like world war three in my brain. There were surprise attacks from everywhere! It was like this:

I read this book in like two days! It was that good! Once again i feel so stupid for not reading this when it was published. This is one of the books that you can read over a million times!

Maggie's writing is so entrancing. You can never let go of the book. Even after i had finished reading Shiver i still looked back to my favourite parts and i kept on thinking what was going to happen in Linger. I'll say it again, it was that good!

The only drawback was that it was slow paced but other than that nothing!

People if you haven't read this then what are you doing? You have to read this!

My rating:

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

About the author:

All of Maggie Stiefvater's life decisions have been based around her inability to be gainfully employed. Talking to yourself, staring into space, and coming to work in your pyjamas are frowned upon when you're a waitress, calligraphy instructor, or technical editor (all of which she's tried), but are highly prized traits in novelists and artists. She's made her living as one or the other since she was 22. She now lives an eccentric life in the middle of nowhere, Virginia with her charmingly straight-laced husband, two kids, two neurotic dogs, and a 1973 Camaro named Loki.
