Summary:

There's nothing more wicked than fate.
'You must come with me,' he said urgently.
'please. If i have found you, the others will as well.'
It's not every day the gorgeous guy carrying a sword kneels right at your feet. Especially not in the car park of an ice cream parlour in front of all of your friends. They may be impressed but Eloise Hart is mortified. And that's before he vows to protect her from a fairy king!
But Eloise soon comes to realise that Lord Strahan, King of Fairy, is very real danger. Abducted and trapped in his underground Rath, she is used as a lure for Strahan's wife, her aunt Antonia-the only person with the power to end his tyrannical power.
With help of best friends Jo and Devin, Eloise must find a way to rescue her aunt and save both Fairy and the mortal world from unimaginable chaos. But at what cost?

Thoughts before the read:
The blurb makes the story sound interesting. I know this is going to be a good read and a funny one too.

Thoughts after the read:
This is amazing. Never expected this was coming.

Review:

This is mind blowing. The only thing is that how can Alyxandra write this flabbergasting story in just 227pages?

Eloise Hart lives a normal life like a average girl, but it all changes when a hot guy in a armour tells her to come with him and that it's not safe in a car park, in front of your friends and everyone you know. Then, when she gets kidnapped by Lord Strahan she knows that all of this is true.

Stolen Away was a quick and easy read with action, mystery, romance and faeries.

One thing that really surprised me about this book was that it was actually wrote in two people perspective. The two perspectives were from the main character: Eloise and her best friend, Jo. It took me by surprise because i would have never thought it could have gone that way, but i loved it! Both of the characters take big parts in the story and it makes sense. The book is split in two different stories. One, Eloise: her been a descendant of Hart family that is special in the fairy world. Two, Jo: best friend of Eloise and falls in love with Lord Strahans son, Eldric.

Stolen Away has plenty of romance Eloise and Lucas, but also Jo and Eldric, the dark, mysterious and handsome stranger that appears in the midst of Jo's way. I adored the relationship with Jo and Eldric, but he's also a bad boy! From the start of the book you can't think that he'll betray Eloise and the rest, but gradually after his character starts to unfold we see the truth about him and his family. My only complaint about the romance in this book was that Eloise and Lucas didn't have that much of a sizzle in the book.

To end this review i've got to say that Harvey is a great author and i hope to read more of her works in the future.

My rating:

About the author:

Alyxandra Harvey lives in a stone Victorian house in Ontario, Canada with a few resident ghosts who are allowed to stay as long they keep company manners. She loves medieval dresses, used to be able to recite all of The Lady of Shalott by Tennyson, and has been accused, more than once, of being born in the wrong century. She believes this to be mostly true except for the fact that she really likes running water, women’s rights, and ice cream.

Among her favourite books are 'The Wood Wife' by terri Windling, 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte, and of course, 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. Elizabeth Bennet is her hero because she’s smart and sassy, and Mr. Darcy is, well, yum.
Aside from the ghosts, she also lives with three dogs and her husband.

Author of The Drake Chronicles
Hearts at Stake/ My Love Lies Bleeding
 Blood Feud
